Properties Tab

Description

Commands

You can determine what commands are available and the order in which they appear on the Toolbars and shortcut menus of REDIPlus monitors through the Commands tab.

Fields

The Fields tab enables you to control which fields appear on a REDIPlus dialog box or monitor component, and the order that they appear. The list of fields available varies by the dialog box or monitor you are customizing, and the specific component of that dialog box or monitor. See the Field Definitions topic for a comprehensive list of Fields/Commands and their definitions.

Hot Keys

Rather than using your mouse, you can assign Hot Keys to the REDIPlus actions that you perform most frequently, and press the single key or combination of keys you assign to perform the corresponding action.

Layout

The Layout tab provides you with a way to save the customizations you make to a dialog box or monitor (e.g., changes to Properties tabs and your manual configuration of the interface, such as hiding the Title bar, maximizing the dialog or monitor, or selecting an initial view). You can create and save multiple layouts for each dialog box or monitor, designate one as the default (for each), and easily switch between monitor layouts by selecting them from the Layouts drop-down list box on the corresponding monitor’s Toolbar. See the Command Tab topic for information about adding the Layout drop-down list box to an individual monitor’s Toolbar, as necessary.

Link

Through the Link tab, you can link your REDIPlus dialogs and monitors together, so that when you change the symbol in one, it is automatically changed in the others.

Query

The Query tab enables you to filter data displayed in a REDIPlus monitor based on the criteria you specify.

Settings

The Settings tab enables you to configure various properties that are specific to a dialog or monitor; see individual dialog box and monitor Settings topics (e.g., Montage Monitor Settings) for a description of the available settings for each dialog box and monitor.

Sorting

The Sorting tab enables you to control the way REDIPlus sorts data in monitors through the specification of up to four layers of sorting criteria.

Style

The Style tab enables you to configure the font, font size, and font characteristics (e.g., bold, underlined, italics) of components that make up REDIPlus dialog boxes and monitors (field labels, field data, tabs, order bars, total bars, etc.). You can also assign the text and background color of displayed data (e.g., data in various panes, the quote bar, etc.) by its characteristic or status (e.g., Complete, Open, Rejected, Partial, Up tick, Down tick, At the money, etc.). Such differentiation makes it easier to quickly identify and interpret data.

Watch

The Watch tab enables you to filter the data you view in a monitor based on the primary filter criteria for that monitor (e.g., the Message Monitor filters data by User ID, the Price Ticker filters by Symbol, and the Position Monitor filters data by Account). Unlike the Filter by Selection Toolbar button, which only allows you to select a single value as criteria for the filter, the Watch tab enables you to select multiple filter criteria values (e.g., multiple User IDs, multiple Symbols, multiple Accounts).
