You can access the REDIPlus Help file in four ways:
Click the Menu
icon on the REDIPlus Application bar, and
select Help from the shortcut
menu. The primary REDIPlus Help file page will appear, from which you
can access all of the sections listed above.
Click the Help
button on the Toolbar of any REDIPlus monitor, or
on any REDIPlus dialog box, and a topic corresponding to
the monitor/dialog box and the active view or tab selected (if applicable)
will appear.
Press [F1], and a topic corresponding to the monitor/dialog box and the active view or tab selected (if applicable) will appear. If a specific topic is not referenced, the primary REDIPlus Help file page will appear, from which you can access all of the sections listed above.
Add the Help command to the shortcut menu of any monitor through the Properties dialog box's Commands tab; see the Commands Tab topic for more information.
You can use the Contents tab
in the left pane of the Help window to quickly navigate to the topics
you want. The Contents tab is
organized into books (
or
) and pages/topics
(
). Books are general subject areas that include corresponding
topics. Click a book to expand and display its sub-books and topics, and
then click a topic to display its content in the right pane, or click
the book name to navigate to the main topic [if a link is available (green
and underlined when you roll over it with your mouse)].

You can use the Index tab in the left pane of the Help window to access the Help file's Index. Each topic has corresponding keywords and keyword phrases that allow you to reference it; keywords are cross-referenced with synonyms to provide multiple ways to locate information. Either type a keyword in the Type in the keyword to find: field and the first corresponding Index term will be highlighted, or scroll through the Index list to find the term you want. Click the Index term and the corresponding topic is displayed in the right pane. If the keyword is indexed in more than one topic, a shortcut menu listing the topics appears, and you can select the topic you want.
You can use the Search tab in the left pane of the Help window to access Help file's Search function. Simply type the word for which you are searching in the Type in the word(s) to search for: field, and press [Enter]. A list of the Help topics that contain that word is displayed. Click a topic to display it in the right pane.
Hyperlinks are underlined, blue text, that when clicked, cause the referenced topic to appear in the right pane. Referenced topics either replace the current topic, or open in a pop-up window right inside the same window you have open. You can navigate forward from the referenced topic, or return to the previous topic by clicking [Back] (if the referenced topic replaces the topic) or clicking again (if the referenced topic opens in a pop-up window).
Many topics include drop-down hotspots, that when clicked, drop-down additional information for your review. The underlined, dark red text below is an example of a drop-down hotspot.
Type the symbol you want to add to the REDI Symbol List in the Enter Symbol field.
Click [Add], and the symbol is added to the list box on the left.
Repeat as necessary. When finished, click [Done], and the symbols we be available from all Symbol drop-down list boxes.
Because they are collapsed until you click them, drop-down hotspots provide a quick way for you to get information without having to do a lot of scrolling. You have the option of expanding only those hotspots you want to read, and an additional click will collapse them again.
The REDIPlus Help file includes glossary terms as expanding hotspots (in addition to the Glossary topic), so that you can access definitions on the go. The underlined, purple text below is an example of an expanding hotspot. When clicked, information is displayed in blue immediately following the text. Click the hotspot again to collapse it.
The order Type defaults to Limit.
See Also buttons appear in the top right corner of main topics. When clicked, a shortcut menu listing topics that are related to the topic you are currently reading appears. For example, the Order Entry Dialog Box topic's See Also button lists topics for each of the dialog box's tabs (General Tab, Advanced Tab, Special Tab, Memo Tab, Exec Instr Tab, and Scale Tab), as well as the Modifying Order Entry Defaults topic. Click a topic from the shortcut menu to display it in the right pane.
Tips and other important information (exceptions, warnings, clarifications, etc. to/about the previous content) are designated by the note icon shown here.
