Accumulation/Distribution Line

The Accumulation/Distribution Line Indicator is a volume The number of shares or contracts traded in a security or an entire market during a given period. indicator that assesses the cumulative flow of money into and out of a security, and is good way to measure the volume force behind a move. The formula focuses on the price action for a given period (e.g., day, week, month) and calculates a value based on the location of the close, relative to the range for the period (the "Close Location Value" or CLV). The CLV is multiplied by the corresponding period's volume and the cumulative total forms the Accumulation/Distribution Line.
