If you select GSAT from the General tab’s Exchange drop-down list box, and then Piccolo, 4CAST, Participate, or VWAP from the Type drop-down list box, you can apply various execution instructions (parameters) to your order.
The access rights assigned to your User ID will determine whether you can enter Exec Instr detail.
Complete the General tab (and the Advanced, Special, and/or Memo tabs, if applicable).
Click the Exec Instr tab.
Enter the time at which your order becomes active in military time (i.e., 24-hour format, HH:MM) in the Start Time field; for example, enter 2:38 P.M. as 14:38. The time zone defaults to Eastern Standard Time.
If you do not enter a Start Time, REDIPlus will submit the market open time or the current time, whichever is later.
Enter the time at which your order becomes inactive in military time (i.e., 24-hour format, HH:MM) in the End Time field; for example enter 3:00 P.M. as 15:00. The time zone defaults to Eastern Standard Time.
If you do not enter an End Time, REDIPlus will submit the market close time.
Select one of the following from the Prc Lmt Type drop-down list box:
Average – orders will be placed above the limit for buys and below the limit for sells so long as an ensuing execution will not cause the average execution price to be worse than the price Limit.
Child – all executions will occur at the price Limit or better. (defaults).
If the Auction
indicator is displayed
in the Misc field of the Quote
bar, the Auction Type field defaults
to Closed, indicating that the order you submit will be queued for the
Closing Auction.
The Ref Price and Ref Prc Off fields are for future use.
Enter the highest percentage of the market volume
(the percentage limit) that your order’s executed shares can represent
by clicking the
to the right of the Vol
Lmt field.
If you selected 4CAST from the Type drop-down list box on the General tab, enter the level of trading aggressiveness you prefer (on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest) in the Risk Pref field.
If you do not enter a value, a medium level of risk (5) is assumed.
If you selected Participate from the Type drop-down list box on the General tab, select the one of the following values from the Ignore Prt drop-down list box:
None - includes all prints when calculating the participation percentage entered in the Vol Lmt field.
ABS Print Size - ignores all prints with an absolute print size above the value you specify in the Ignore Prt Qty field (see below).
ADV % - ignores prints whose size is over the percentage of the average daily volume (of the last ten days) that you specify in the Ignore Prt Qty field.
Max Behind % - automatically calculates which prints should be ignored based on the percentage you are willing to fall behind the market size (specified in the Ignore Prt Qty field) and your participation percentage. (Order Size * Max Behind % / Vol Lmt)
