Modifying Global Equity Doneaway Entry Defaults

Default values are initially assigned to Global Equity Doneaway Entry dialog box fields by REDIPlus; a generic set of default values exists for all Symbols. You can modify the existing generic default values for all Symbols, and/or create a new set of default values by Symbol.

To modify the default values for Symbols

  1. Right-click the Global Equity Doneaway Entry dialog box, select Defaults from the shortcut menu, and the Trade Defaults dialog box appears.

  2. The Symbol combo box contains the symbol to which the Global Equity Doneaway default values correspond; the value of <Default> indicates that the default values correspond to all symbols that do not have their own set of defaults. Select the symbol whose corresponding Global Equity Doneaway default values you want to modify from the Symbol combo box, or, if the symbol you want is not listed, enter it.

  1. Enter the value you want to default in the General tab’s Quantity field in the Quantity field.

  2. Enter the increment you want the quantity to increase or decrease (when clicking the to the right of the Quantity field) in the Quantity Increment field. For example, if the Quantity is 100 and the Quantity Increment is 200, clicking the up arrow to the right of the field would increase the quantity to 300, 500, 700, etc.

  3. Enter the increment you want the price to increase or decrease (when clicking the to the right of the Price field on the General tab) in the Price Increment field.

  4. Select the Account number that will default for the symbol you selected from the drop-down list box.

  5. Click [Apply]; then select or enter another symbol and repeat the process above. When finished, click [OK].
